Great article by our great friend Pascal Bernabe dedicated to cave diving in X-Ray Magazine.
“Learning to dive the Earth’s interior” illustrated by Victor’s photos from Orda cave
This morning I’ve received a warm email from Jesse Blackadder, the author of a great novell “Chasing the Light”. It reads: “I’m the author of the book that features one of your exquisite photos on the cover. I’d really like to link to your website for more information about that shot. … I’m sure my readers will be fascinated – I’ve had so many great comments about the cover!”
Dear Jesse, that is a good question, I’ll tell you the story with pleasure. The woman on this photo is Natalie Avseenko, twice world champion in freediving.
These two women (Natalie’s and your heroine) were seperated with 80 years and resided on the opposite ends of the earth, but their stories seem to have similar features. These two women are very feminine and strong at the same time; I think, it was their inner integrity and fidelity to themselves made them who they are.

Big story of the Russian Navy transport ship “America” in brilliant magazine Asian Diver #1/Vol 124 .
The story about famous ship and UW archaeologists work on finding and identifying of shipwrecks.
Early on a sunny morning of August 6, captain Andrey Sinitsyn commanded to cast off a 53-tonne diving boat 311 heading for the western-most point of Russia in the Gulf of Finland – the island of Hogland. So the 71st underwater archaeological expedition of the project Secrets of Shipwrecks started.
This time, the main task was to search for the remains of America. Nowadays, only the lonely graves in an abandoned island cemetery remind us of her death.

The cover and a big article about Orda Cave for our French speaking readers in Plongeurs International Magazine
One of the most respected Russian newspapers tells foreign readers about Orda Cave: “Diving into the mysteries of the past”
“There’s a place in southern Russia where glistening white
mountains rise precipitously skyward. Wild rivers twist and turn through the deep canyons that separate them until they burst free, flowing into the meadows and forests that stretch east and west to the Black and Caspian seas. These are the Caucasus Mountains, home to Blue Lake, a legendary place as beautiful as it is unforgiving”.
