Walking Beneath the Sea Exhibition

January 24, 2018, within the framework of the PhotoFest in the Kyiv School of Photography the exhibition by Viktor Lyagushkin and the team PHOTOTEAM.PRO “Walking under the sea” was opened. The basis of the exhibition was stills from the project #Seagull and retrospective of previous projects: Being a Dolphin, Magic World of the Blue Lake, Princess of Whales, Lady of the Orda Cave.

At the opening lecture Viktor told about the projects presented at the exhibition, about his vision of photography and held a small quiz with his book “Being a Dolphin” as a prize.

The exhibition will last until March 12, 2018.

Viktor’s Photos at Pristine Russia Exhibition 2018

V Pristine Russia exhibition will be held from 26 January till 25 February in the Central House of Artists (Moscow, Russia). The exhibition is a part of the Pristine Russia Festival dedicated to Russian nature and wild life.

This year Moscow citizens will have possibility to see a special guest of the Festival – Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition.

Among hundreds of other works visitors may found there 3 photos by Viktor Lyagushkin from Baikal Lake.

#Seagull at Moscow Dive Show 2018

The #Seagull exhibition had been held 1 – 4 of February within Moscow Dive Show 2018. The Show becomes more and more popular, and this year it attracted 20 000 visitors from different countries.

24 meters of walls decorated with blue fabric and unusual photos showed to visitors underwater and under ice world of Lazurny Quarry, where the project had been performed.

At the opening ceremony Viktor Lyagushkin’s fans presented to the photographer a crocheted camera created by artist Jesika Geut. This is an accurate copy of the photographer’s favourite camera Nikon Df.

Reefcalendar – Project for Our Seas

Our team takes part in the charitable project Reefcalendar by Martin Aigner. PHOTOTEAM.PRO member, Nikon Ambassador SUBAL Pro Team member Viktor Lyagushkin entered the project with his photography “Swan Swims Over the Sky”. There are also such famous photographers as Lynn Funkhouser and Christian Vizl and others.

Hotel Le Méridien Vienna hosted an exhibition with the photographs included. Exhibition is open for visitors from 29th of November till 15th of January. All money raised during the project will be spent for salvation of reefs of Southern Seas.

A Sign of Leopard To Come

Big story in National Geographic Georgia Magazine by me, Bogdana Vashchenko, illustrated with photographs by Viktor Lyagushkin, about Vashlovani National Reserve, our of the oldest National Reserves in Georgia. It’s an honour for us to be published in the festive issue of the Magazine, dedicated to its 5-th Anniversary.

Working on the story I was so impressed how it had been possible for all sides to Mind-Meld: the government, non-state organization NACRES, and shepherds.

Here in Vashlovani it is easy to see how strongly tied humans and nature.

Lecture for Nikon Professional Service (Russia)

LYG_5093 June 26 и 27 Viktor Lyagushkin had held two lectures for Russian Nikon: for graduates of Nikon Photo School and photographers for NPS. The theme of his lectures was underwater photography. Viktor told to the auditory about history of arising of the branch, physics of UW photography and gave recommendations about necessary photo technics.

National Geographic (Georgia) Magazine Special Issue

Finally I hold in my hands a special issue of National Geographic (Georgia) Magazine with our feature story In the Giant’s Palms about unique canyons of Western Georgia. What is it like to be a pioneer, are there any more white spots on Earth? All this with the ingenious photos by Viktor Lyagushkin.

The issue is available in Russian and English.
